File 021: Snow

Shikai: So Leigh drug us both out into the snow today. It'd be snowing for the past two days about, so her backyard was so covered in it, you couldn't even see the pond. Completely buried. It was wet, cold, and painfully white, but the kid was enjoying himself.

We didn't start out covered in snow. It didn't take long for that to happen, however, especially with that bumbling woman hovering around us.

On my to-do list: Attempt to stay dry. Attempt to not freeze.
On Leigh's: Take lots of bloody cute pictures.
On Vikas': Build a snowman. Find an approriately-sized sled to slide down the hills with.

***** THWACK!! *******

And render my to-do list a failure by hurling snowballs at me. >>

Vikas: You are no fun. Come ooooon, let's have a snowball fight!! =DD

The lack of any firm footing on this shit was not making me any more ethustiastic, so I had to pass.

Which brought us back to Leigh's list. Pictures, pictures, pictures. Which futher reduced my to-do list as completely unattainable.

At least we had some sort-of warm winter clothes.

And you can't really deny that the presence of this stuff makes for a peaceful landscape.

(Even if it is mostly white.)

Besides it being wet, cold, and slick, it had piled up around the doors so much in made entering and leaving the house a challenge.

The kid has deemed that he still likes snow despite it's negative qualities. Though he certainly was glad to be back inside as well.

I think I'll remain of the opinion that snow is nicer from inside.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
