File 014: An Interview
Besides this being a blatant, pathetic excuse to take nekkid pictures of Shikai, I also got him to agree to answer questions from everyone in the Photolog. Here's the full photoshoot, plus portions of the questions asked. ^^ Warning: VERY long and portions of extreme rabid fangirlishness and 1337 speak.
Shikai: I've been here three weeks now. Some of you like to think that you know me so well (Especially those of you reading the biography.) when in actuality you don't. At all. However, since you're all so eager to get inside my head (and my pants...) even though both are places which you have no business being, I'll relent and let you vultures have a chance for something resembling a meal by allowing you to ask me questions in order to clear up a few things.
For example, the question of my sexuality.
Also contrary to popular belief, I am not gay. I can't justifiably say I am straight for reasons that should be obvious, but to be perfectly honest I have as little interest in men as I do women. It just worked out somehow that Akatsuki is the one I like, and he happens to be male. Oh no. How shocking. It could have just as easily been a female, either way I'm surprised to find even one person who I could say I feel this way about and I seriously doubt there will ever be another.
That out of the way, it's your turn. Go ahead. Ask me anything, I'll answer.
If it's not classified as a supremely retarded question, that is. If it's directly related to events that are/will be happening in the biography, I reserve the right to remain silent and smirk and you'll just have to wait for my slow-ass biographer to have those answered.

What do you see in Jiko that makes you like him so much?
- If you're looking for some sap-filled romatic shit like there's stars in his eyes, how everything falls silent when he speaks an sakura petals swirl around everytime he comes into view, you're shit out of luck. There's one one thing I can pin down as to why he's the one and no one else.

1.) Feature you like best about Jiko.
- His constant optomism, because I have none.
2.) Feature that most annoys you.
- See above.
3.) Assuming everything works out ok - where would you go on a first date?
- Anyplace where there won't be annoying people poking their heads where it doesn't belong and bothering us. (Note I never made any promises against giving sarcastic answers.)
4.) Jiko dress-up fantasy (I know you have one. XD)

5.) Most shagable member of the biography, besides Jiko. XD
- Apollo, not because of his hair color but because he's one of the few others I almost respect.
6.) What's with all the black? Color-blind? Art statement? XD If all the black clothes in the world suddenly disappeared, what color would you wear?
-Because it says nothing about me. White or grey or any other nuetral color would work just as well, except I have a strong aversion to anything white for reasons having to do with my past.

Do you ever wonder if your life could have turned out differently? If yes, then what other possibilities have you imagined? If no, is there any particular reason why you haven't wondered "what if", or would it simply be because you don't care?
- Actually, I wouldn't have minded at all if I'd just had a nice, boring, normal life so maybe I would have had the chance to be something other than a sarcastic, bad-tempered, socially inept wreck that I am now. And it would be nice if the majority of the world didn't flinch/scream for blood everytime they heard my name as well. >>
Do you remember anything about your parents?
-No. In remember my brother, and bits of what I think he said was an orphanage where we were for a while, but that's about it.
How would you describe your relationship with your brother?
- We... don't get along too well. He probably means well, but we conflict quite a bit, and as such have never been very close. Maybe that will change, but it will be a slow process.
What are you afraid of?:
-Emptiness. Death doesn't scare me at all, but becoming something completely hallow and/or completely helpless to fight back is something entirely more unpleasant to think of. That, and being locked away in some sort of cage, figurative or literal.
How do you deal with your fears?
-Jiko's presence banishes many of them. The rest I just do whatever in my power to avoid getting into circumstances that might lead to any of them being realized. Vauge, yss, but that's the best I can answer.
What was the most pain you've ever experienced (mental, emotional, physical, etc.)?
- I'd rather not talk about that right now.
What do you dread most losing?
- Beside the obvious answer of the significant other, my sanity, however you wish to interpret that.

- Excuse me while I go dunk my head in a bucket of bleach to remove the sight of that repulsive thought from my eyes/ears/brain. (Ie, fuck no.)

What's your favorite pastime, assuming you have any at all?
Coding. As Leigh's friend Hartman once said, he like computers because if something gets fucked up, it's completly your own fault. Comptuers are so much easier to deal with than people. I've also been raiding Leigh's bookshelves a good deal recently, as reading is a fairly enjoyable way to kill time as well.
Do you watch television at all? If so, what do you enjoy watching?
- There isn't really television where I come from, just internet feeds that usually aren't worth my time to watch. But I've been watching the news since I've been here to learn more about this place, though I'm not sure it this will be a continuing trend as it becomes the same old bullshit after a while
Do you have a favorite genre of music? If so, what's your favorite band and/or song?
- Electronic is good. Or anything that's not uber-happy bubblegum pop, whiny ass country bands or emo goth kids. Other than that, I'm not too picky.
What is your weapon of choice when you have the urge to kill things?
- Depends on what they're being killed for and how long I want them to writhe in pain before finishing the job.

- Cat... boy.. Okay, you have fun with that while I arrange to have you computer infected with hideous viruses.
Books, mostly the sci-fi stuff Leigh has lying around. Most of them are very innaccurate, but enteraining anyway. And this thing called House of Leaves, since she's so stuck up on it.
*whimpers* Dear god, you're a brute! My life is on my computer. Mess it up and I'll hunt you down and take you apart piece by piece and seal each segment into a mason jar filled with green jello! Anyway, I intend the picture to be humorous and decent. Next question:
What's your liquor of choice?
- Your life is on the computer? Just wait and see how really inconsequential it is in comparision to mine later on in the comic. And you'd have to find me first, and get past Leigh, who has a almost endearing if somewhat annoying quality of being very protective of me. As for liquor, I've somehow picked up Leigh's taste for vokda. Though bourbon is also good.

If you absolutely had to give something nice (that doesn't cause mental or bodily harm) to Quay, what would it be? and why?
- Oh dammit. *siiigh* I'd give him... Can I give him my brother? So maybe he'll quit hassling me?

Are you getting lung cancer from those? Claire says I can't smoke because I'll die, but I don't think I have lungs.
- If it kills me faster, so much the better. As it stands, since I'm made of a material which is toxic in dust form, I think I'm safe.
I'm fairly sure that, in doll form, our existance transcends life, so we cannot truly die or be killed (Claire: SMOKING IS BAD I HAVE ASTHMA MUST I KILL YOU? J: STFU I'M TALKING HERE KTXH).

I've been a doll for some time now, my friend, and I must tell you, referring to your mistress as a bitch is geeeeeeeeenerally not the best idea, because - and I'm sure you've noticed - they have the power to arrange your body into unfortunate positions. And ... dude. They totally know where to get frilly pink dresses. Don't tempt them. They'll do it.

- Frequently, usually dealing with my past. See Also: Here. I find them rather annoying, though they they disspear when Akatsuki's around. As he's not been, they've been coming back some. Joy.
So your memories only return in dreams? All the dreams psycho Tamara has I get too, mass murders and fun stuff.. It'd be good to have Jiko around since he is comforting, that is what Ayamae is to me (even though she's a "runt" like you call Vikas).
- Not always. Certain things seem to trigger memories to the surface. And not all runts are bad things, the kid's becoming more tolerable.

Why do you hate the kid so much?
- Hate would be too strong of a word here- When I really hate someone, you'll know it. (See: Quay.) I don't like surprises, and he certainly was one. I'm finding him a lot more tolerable now, so either he's getting better or I'm just getting used to him. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, as I could do much worse in terms of roomates.

- Perhaps the explaination on my gender preferances wasn't clear; the fact that it's a male or female makes absolutely not difference to me. Hence, I would go out with one girl, or two, if one or both interested me enough. But it's very unlikely she/they would (in a way that would lead to anything remotely romatic at least) but I wouldn't be completely adverse to spending time with her/them provided she/they don't irk me too much.

- They gave me a bit of schooling in the... places where I grew up and my brother attempted to help with that, but mostly I'm self taught.
You were pretty much a bachelor before Jiko, are you a good cook? If so, what is your favorite thing to cook? Either way, what's your favorite thing to eat?
- Mostly just quick and easy things. I'm really not that good of a cook, so I don't usually do anything complictaed, or I just eat out somewhere. I can't really say I have a favorite thing to cook, it all serves the same purpose of preventing myself from starving.

1. Call it throwing a bone to a pack of starving dogs. Or for people with a bit more intellignce, it can be viewed and a visual represtentation of letting myself get mauled insides and out by inane inquires.

6. Not that I know up. Leigh's been taking 'kun' on the end of my name every so often, and i'm not entirely sure how I feel about that, though it could be something much worse, I guess. The brat just calls me 'jerk' if that counts as a nickname.
7. I'm indifferent, though it can be quite annoying sometimes if they're persistent. They won't get anywhere with it in any case.
And I like that one much better, but wtf with the comment in the thoughts? If that's a referance to something, I have no idea what.

- Well... I'd probably make an attempt to play the piano more. I know how to some, but not enough to say I've mastered it. And if Leigh could get a pool table my size, I might even forgive her for being such a twit.
Is there a particular reason why the piano, or is it simply on a whim?
- A whim, mostly. Just about any musicla intsrument would do, as there's a certain mathmatical quality in music theroy that interests me.
